Earls Court and Olympia have re-launched their website, www.eco.co.uk, following the decision to bring the development of their digital communications in-house. ECO IT Services has produced a site that is packed with innovative new features including integration with the major social networks, richer content and improved functionality.
The image-led design facilitates easy browsing and accessibility for users. Event listings can be socially bookmarked, emailed and incorporate video content syndicated on YouTube. Venue listings now have virtual tours, technical specifications and images all on the same page for ease of comparison. There is also a new hotel booking service, improved search capability and a TfL approved travel section. Deeper content about the iconic venues is provided by stories and imagery from over 100 years of history; also present on the Facebook fan page.
Tom Lambregts, Digital Marketing Manager for EC&O Venues said, "We set out to make the best venue website in the country. Alongside the new website we’ve also implemented our social media strategy across multiple platforms, integrated a new email design and re-qualified our database. We're collecting more information to allow us to segment our records, which will lead to improved targeting of marketing messages and greater return on investment in digital communications. The whole project is giving an engaging experience for visitors and a market-leading platform for the marketing support we offer organisers".
