Richard House Children’s Hospice is a modern purpose-built hospice in East London, created for children with life-limiting or life-threatening or complex health care conditions.
No child or their family should have to face the trials of coping with a terminal illness alone. Richard House provides emotional support, relieves symptoms and pain, calms anxiety and helps a family to cope with the situation, whilst creating positive experiences along the way.
We offer a range of services including day care, respite care, end of life care, support in the home, and family support including befriending and bereavement services.
Many children in our care face complex disabilities and need constant attention and we can be a lifeline to families, helping them make the most of the short but precious lives of their children.
Richard House is currently caring for over 200 children and their families. In 2010 Richard House will need to raise £3.1 million in order to maintain its services, of this £1.8 million needs to come from voluntary contributions and donations
