Earls Court and Olympia have become the first major UK venue to launch a mobile-optimised website.
Mobile internet devices outsold computers as far back as 2009, yet recent research has found that only 7% of British firms are confident that they had optimised their sites for mobile use.
The EC&O Venues mobile website provides essential information in a clear, concise and quick-to-load package.
Users can see what’s on, find out how to get to the venues, discover places to eat and drink nearby and access EC&O’s social networks. Event organisers have their own section to browse the selection of venue spaces, view virtual tours, identify service partners and stay informed of the latest news.
"Our mobile-optimised site works across a whole range of handsets, including Blackberry and iPhone, and gives our organisers yet another opportunity to raise the profile of their events. It also provides a vital and fun resource for our visitors. However we’re already looking forwards and will be launching our new digital project later this year” said EC&O’s Head of Marketing, Tom Lambregts.
