The best of France in a day
The UK’s favourite French lifestyle show is back for 2012, and will be even better than ever! The France Show brings you the very best of France including food, wine, property, entertainment, culture, shopping and travel, all under one roof.
Let us entertain you
The Flavours of France theatre, sponsored by Currencies Direct, brings you a packed programme of entertainment over the three days. For those who love French cuisine, there will be practical demonstrations from top regional French chefs, while Mon Plaisir, London’s oldest French restaurant, is back with an at-show bistro. There’ll be live entertainment including cancan girls and talks by authors Stephen Clarke and Carol Drinkwater, while the Pétanque playing area, sponsored by Pierre & Vacances, will have seasoned players on hand to help you pick up some tips and brush up your game!
Learn something new.
A wide range of seminars and tutored wine tastings will help you find out more about your favourite country. Estate agents, solicitors and other professionals will be conducting talks in the French Property Exhibition area, while language classes will cater for every level of French. Don’t miss the tutored wine tastings, which include Bordeaux Wines and The Wine Society’s own selections presented by award-winning wine writer, Susy Atkins.
Timetables for all seminars (except the wine tastings) will be published on the website,
www.thefranceshow.com, so you can plan ahead for your day at the show. Wine tasting tickets can be purchased in advance and are selling quickly!
Find your perfect property
The French Property Exhibition, hosted within The France Show, will showcase thousands of properties and businesses for sale throughout France, for all budgets and tastes. With a range of experts on hand, you are sure to learn more about the regions and types of properties that meet your criteria.
Don’t forget your shopping bags
The French market will be packed with a huge variety of products to sample and buy – from hot crêpes to fresh baguettes, croissants, pastries, tartes and bonbons, regional cheeses, saucisson, pâté, rillettes, tapenade and honey, plus herbs and spices essential for your French cookery. There’ll also be a great selection of gifts and home items to buy, from traditional French woven shopping bags to fabulous kitchen linen and gadgets.
A great day out for all
The Editor of French Property News (a main sponsor of the show) Karen Tait says: “The show is a highlight in our year – we love meeting visitors and hearing all about their latest French adventures. I’m also planning on stocking up on lots of tasty morsels from the market, and enjoying all the seminars.”
