Earls Court and Olympia have unveiled their new state-of-the-art wireless system, following extensive investment in the venues’ IT infrastructure.
Ruckus Wireless™ offers organisers a more dynamic and reliable Wi-Fi experience for their shows.
Following successful trials at high tech shows, such as ad:tech, Infosec, Internet World, PLASA and the Cloud Computing Forum, the system proved to be fast, resilient and more capable of supporting the ever increasing Wi-Fi requirements within the events industry.
The Ruckus system supports hundreds of users and gets devices on and off the network faster to ensure as many simultaneous users as possible. Furthermore it works on both 2.4 and 5GHz frequencies optimizing the effectiveness on both old and new wireless devices. The product was recently recognised as SMB Networking Hardware category winner by technology site CRN’s Annual Report Card.
“We have spent many years listening to the industry and want to address the growing demand for improved technology at venues. As a result we’ve invested in our IT infrastructure in recent years. Technology doesn’t stand still and we are constantly looking at ways we can plan for the future. The installation of our Ruckus Wireless system demonstrates our genuine desire to assist organisers with their ever-changing technology requirements,” said Graham Gee, IT Director, EC&O Venues.
EC&O worked on the project with Ruckus specialists React Technologies.
