
Event Production Show and UK Venue Show posted an 8% increase in visitor numbers on its opening day.
Taking place at Olympia, the Event Production Show and UK Venue Show mark the first trade shows for the event sector, with day 1 attracting 2276 visitors with a collective buying power of £1BN.
Day 2 will see respected chief operating office of UK Music, John Probyn, host a ‘Question Time’ panel discussion on the state of the sector. His involvement sparked a pre-registration flurry with over one thousand registrations made yesterday, 1st February. Other panelists for ‘Question Time’ include Tim Owen, event planning commissioner for Westminster, Clive Little, director of events & programming at the Olympic Park Legacy Company, Jo Dipple, CEO at UK Music, and Paul Cook, group head of health, safety and security at Live Nation.
Other sessions taking place throughout the day include a look into the emergence of RFID wristbands and a discussion on catering trends for the live event market.
