EC&O Venues Earls Court And Olympia

Measurement

Earls Court are leaders in event sustainability, and can measure it.

Sustainability is defined by the British Standards Institute as:

"An enduring, balanced approach to economic activity, environmental responsibility and social progress."

Organisers of live events, exhibitions and conferences at Earls Court can now measure the sustainability of their events with an online tool provided by www.eventsustainability.co.uk.

Event, exhibition and conference organisers can measure how sustainable their product is, using the Event Sustainability tool.

The sustainable event tool is a guide for implementing sustainability and measuring the impact of an event. It includes measurement check-lists, communication templates and industry best practice advice.

The tool generates a report which can be given to clients, and be used as evidence of steps taken towards compliance with industry standards.

Earls Court have dedicated staff to guide organisers in using this, with the long term view of helping them meet the criteria set out by BS8901 – the British Standard for event sustainability.
